Our lead instructor and proprietor, Greg Laureta has been with BC Ambulance for the past 23 years. He spent a number of years with the Coast Guard Auxiliary in Powell River; was Patrol Commander and a first aid instructor with the Canadian Rangers; spent time with BC Ferries and was an Emergency Room Attendant. Greg trains and teaches what actually works when accidents happen - understanding becomes practice. He has been teaching first aid for quite a while: St. John Ambulance is where Greg got started as a First Aid Instructor (FAI); moved on to the Canadian Red Cross as an Instructor Trainer (IT); participated in Train the Trainer with the Canadian Forces; and was an IT and evaluator with EMP Canada and Medic First Aid. Presently Greg is with Emergency Care & Safety Institute as a FAI , IT and Evaluator. Suffice to say Greg knows what he’s teaching and he enjoys what he does.
